1. A visible and accessible leader who is committed to providing excellent instructional leadership 2. An articulate communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and the community 3. Implements School Board policies and administrative rules in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations 4. Develops, implements, and evaluates curricular and extracurricular programs that enhance student achievement and growth 5. Attends professional meetings, workshops, and conferences to stay abreast of current educational trends to provide quality staff development programs 6. Provides a safe and healthy school environment that is conducive to learning 7. Directs all administrative and operational procedures at the school 8. Evaluates the effectiveness of all assigned personnel and recommends continued employment, dismissal, or reassignment as required 9. Plans and implements summer programs sponsored by the district 10. Provides leadership for the planning, development, and implementation of the school budget 11. Keeps appropriate accounting records of money transactions for both curricular and extracurricular programs 12. Coordinates supervision of athletic programs and extracurricular activities 13. Knowledge of the SCHSL rules and regulations involving athletic programs 14. Supervises student behavior and promptly reports emergencies to the Superintendent 15. Performs such other tasks and duties as assigned by the Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Five Years Successful Teaching and/or Administrative Experience. 2. Master’s Degree in Education Administration from an Accredited University. 3. Valid South Carolina Educator’s Credential with certification as a Secondary or Elementary Principal.
