JOB PURPOSE/REASON: To oversee compliance and management of employee insurance programs and state retirement systems in South Carolina, which are administered by the SC PEBA, and employee leave administration. The Assistant Executive Director will also support the strategic direction of  HRIS, Records Management, Unemployment, and E-verify.  The Assistant Executive Director offers strategic leadership by clearly communicating departmental needs and plans to the Executive Director of HR Benefits & Business Services, as well as to other internal and external stakeholders. PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides overall leadership and direction in the day-to-day operations of Benefits and Business Services to include: • Ensu
