Supervises the management of financial affairs of the district; responsible for budget development & long-range financial planning; presents & analyzes budget to Board of Trustees; establishes & supervises a program of accounting; supervises collection, safe keeping, & distribution of all funds; administers a budget control system for the district: projecting revenue & expenditures throughout fiscal year; responsible for training, supervising, & evaluating all accounting/payroll personnel; prepares & analyzes all financial statements; provides monthly financial statements to necessary school and district leadership; attends monthly board meetings, presenting monthly financial statements to the Board of Trustees; maintains general, revenue, & appropriations ledgers on a modified accrual basis; verifies bank statements monthly.
Performs other tasks & responsibilities as the Superintendent may assign.
Bachelor’s degree required, CPA license preferred, Master’s degree preferred 3-5 years experience in governmental accounting / school finance (strongly preferred) Supervisory experience Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
