POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Principal serves as the instructional leader and chief administrator of the school, providing vision, direction, and support to ensure high levels of learning and success for every student. The Principal builds a strong school culture grounded in professionalism, collaboration, and accountability while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and families.

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides forward-thinking leadership in designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive educational program aligned with federal and state laws, Board policies, and District expectations. Guides staff in using effective instructional practices and continuous improvement strategies to support every learner. Ensures the school environment is safe, welcoming, and conducive to teaching, learning, and staff collaboration.

The ideal candidate must hold or be eligible for a South Carolina Elementary School Principal license. Candidates will also hold at least a master’s degree, preferably an education specialist degree, and demonstrate at least 5 years of successful teaching experience, along with at least 3 years of administrative experience.
