Sevier Middle School, serving grades 6–8 in Greenville County Schools, is a nationally recognized, high-performing school with a strong record of academic excellence and innovation. The school is a three-time AMLE National Forum “Schools to Watch” designee (2020, 2023, 2026), recognizing exemplary middle grades practices. Sevier also holds ASCA RAMP School designation (2020, 2025), an Excellent 2025 SC School Report Card rating, and was named a Palmetto Gold Award Winner in 2025, reflecting sustained high achievement and growth.
Students excel across academic, arts, and extracurricular programs. Robotics teams have qualified for the VEX World Championships annually since 2017 and earned multiple state titles. Students are regularly recognized as PSAT Junior Scholars and Duke TIP Scholars, and programs in fine arts, academic competition, and student leadership earn regional, state, and national honors, including a PTA National Reflections Winner (2025).

A Successful Sevier Middle Principal:
Is familiar and experienced with middle school methodology and practices that improve achievement.
Develops and successfully implements a comprehensive special education plan that provides a continuum of services.
Is active in the community working to secure partnerships with businesses and groups to enhance the experiences of the school.
Selects technology that is consistent with latest trends and secures training for staff on integration of new resources.
Education and Experience Required:
A minimum earned Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
Valid South Carolina secondary principal's certificate
Three to five years of teaching and administrative/supervisory experience.
BUILDING LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE/SUPERVISORY SALARY SCHEDULE (BUILDG) - 245 DAYS Grade A5 ( 93,216 - 143,821) Placement on salary schedule includes several factors to include experience.
