Executive Director of Education Technology Services
Location: Education Technology Services Contract: 12 Months | Salary: ADMSPV245 AB $151,814 – $206,847 Reports To: Associate Superintendent of Operations Application Deadline: Until Filled
Position Overview
The Executive Director of Education Technology Services provides visionary leadership and oversight for all instructional, operational, and administrative technology systems across the district. This role ensures technology initiatives align with district priorities to advance student achievement, operational effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making.
The Executive Director leads the development and execution of a comprehensive technology strategy, ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative systems that support teaching, learning, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the District Technology Plan, aligning technology investments with instructional and operational goals. Serve as the primary advisor on all technology-related matters.
Operations & Infrastructure: Oversee enterprise systems, network infrastructure, and telecommunications to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Establish and enforce policies for data governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FERPA, COPPA).
Budget & Vendor Management: Lead budget development, procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor performance to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
Innovation: Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and cloud-based solutions, to enhance learning environments and operational effectiveness.
Data & Performance: Promote data-informed decision-making through effective systems, reporting, and analytics.
Equity & Access: Ensure equitable access to technology and compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Proven leadership in managing complex technology systems, preferably in K–12 education or a large organization.
Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
